FAQs
How much does a hair unit cost?
Cost depends on the size, volume and length of hair.
Why do I require two hair units at a time?
One is on your head while the other is being serviced. You are never without a spare unit (timeframe is currently extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
What if my color changes or I want a new look?
Color can be added to your hair unit and balanced if there’s fading at an additional charge. If your hair replacement looses hair, I can have hair added to it for an additional charge.
What methods do you use to keep the hair attached to the scalp?
We use a surgical adhesive that holds the unit on for up to four weeks.
What is the time factor for production of a new hair unit?
Under normal conditions it takes 16 to 20 weeks for a new hair unit (timeframe is currently extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Some stock units are available in 2-6 weeks depending on hair color and hair length.
How long will my unit last?
Based on an individual, hair units will last 6 to 12 months. We allow one refill after hair loss so, on average, two units will last you a year and a half to two years.
How long is a regular appointment?
Appointments are booked for 1 hour 30 minutes.
How can I keep my unit in great condition?
Use prescribed hair care products as Alexander recommends.
Can I swim or sleep in my hair unit?
Absolutely because it is a very lightweight unit. I do suggest if you are in a chlorinated pool that you wet your hair with bottled water before you get in chlorinated pool.
Do you service existing units?
I service existing units only until your new custom unit is delivered.
At your hair replacement consultation, I will cover everything your need to know including cost, maintenance, and design.
